Museveni proposes 49-year leases to resolve the Nakaseke forest land dispute.

Nakaseke - President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday campaigned in Nakaseke District, where he urged farmers to adopt modern farming practices, including growing pastures, to improve productivity and household incomes.
Addressing a rally at Nakaseke District Headquarters grounds in Butalangu, Museveni said many farmers were underutilizing their small pieces of land, yet they could achieve higher yields through better planning and pasture management.
“Instead of moving long distances in search of pasture, farmers can grow pastures at home and produce enough food for their animals,” Museveni said. He added that farmers with limited land should keep fewer animals, noting that one acre can support up to eight cows if properly managed.
