Embark on a journey east of Kampala city to Jinja (1 hr) ride. As you leave the busy central district stop off at Namugongo martyrs shrine and Mabira forest, a good birders site and continue to Jinja near Lake Victoria and its here that we find the source of the Nile River, Rippon Falls. When you reach, prepare for a wild adventure, guess what water rafting. With the biggest rafts on the river, you will see how professional rafters are able to handle and conquer carefully the most challenging rapids. After a full demonstration, it’s your turn to get on water and try your water rafting skills. Watch the local fishermen and the rich birdlife. Watch out for a series of wild rapids in the “Bad place.” After wards you can visit the town and recognize certain vital buildings such as Nile Breweries. After breakfast, drive south west via Masindi arriving in the afternoon in Murchison Falls National Park. Upon your arrival in the park, you will hike to the top of the falls to see how the wonderful Nile River forces itself through a narrow gorge through which it explodes into one of the world’s spectacular falls. In the morning wakeup for breakfast before driving southwest to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you along Masaka Mbarara road to stop at the Equator for photographs and then proceed to stop in Mbarara for lunch and then drive to reach the park in the afternoon. You may go for an evening game drive that's if you are not so tired or go visit the Katwe salt mines. The later is provided on request. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.more »
