DAY 1
Depart via Mubende to Fort Portal, passing through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon. You will spend the night at Ndali Lodge or Kanyanchu (budget) Bandas. Meal Pan – Lunch and Dinner.
DAY 2
After breakfast, you will head into the forest, for a half day of primate tracking. Look out for chimpanzees, phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues and Red-tailed and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest on top of birds, butterflies and many small insects. Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge or Kanyanchu Bandas. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
DAY 3
After breakfast, transfer for another close to nature encounter at Bigodi Swamp eco-tourism site. It is not only a bird sanctuary, but also home to some rare species like the Sitatunga. After a picnic lunch, return to Kampala. Meal Plan – Breakfast and Lunch.
Includes: Accommodation, meals, park entry fees, chimpanzee tracking permit, Bigodi nature walk, bottled mineral water and ground transportation in a 4x4 safari vehicle with an English- speaking driver guide.
