Day one:
Arrive at the airport, you will be met by our staff member and transferred to Kampala for your City tour featuring the Kasubi Tombs, Uganda Museum, Makerere University, Namugongo Basilica and the Bahai Temple. Overnight at Grand Imperial Hotel or Hotel Africana. Meal Plan - Bed and breakfast. TRANSIT TIME 45 Minutes
Day Two:
Transfer to Fort Portal via Mubende. After lunch, proceed to the Kibale Forest for an optional Night Walk tracking the Galagos, Bush babies, Pottos and the Night Jars with the use of flashlight torches. Dinner and overnight at the Ndali Lodge. Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 5 HOURS
Day Three:
Morning breakfast, then transfer to the Kibale forest; Dark and mysterious with the delightful chattering cast of Primates; which include the Chimpanzee as well as the Red Colobus monkey (Endemic to this forest alone), Grey cheeked Mangabeys and over 335 bird species. Return to Ndali Lodge, spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying the breathtaking views of one of the most picturesque spots in Uganda, surrounded by still crystal clear crater lakes and rolling hills. Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day four:
Breakfast, then travel to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with picnic lunches through verdant tea plantations and beautiful terraced mountain scenery also known as the “Little Swiitzerland of Africa”. Bwindi is one of the few Albertine Rift rainforest remaining in Africa; It supports 300-350 (two thirds of the world’s remaining) mountain gorillas. Arrive late afternoon for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Mantana Bwindi Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan - Lunch and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 6 HOURS
Day five:
Early morning breakfast, then travel to the base of the mountain for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek. After picnic lunches and drinks in the forest, an hour with the Gorillas, return to base for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Mantana Bwindi Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner . TREKKING TIME – Varies from 30 Minutes - 6 HOURS
Day six:
Drive through verdant banana plantations, beautiful rolling terraced hills, and ankole “long horned” cattle. After lunch at the Agip Motel in Mbarara, continue with your drive to Kampala, arriving in the evening. Night stay at Grand Imperial Hotel or Hotel Africana. Meal Plan - Breakfast and Lunch. TRANSIT TIME 8 - 9 HOURS
Day seven:
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight. |
